How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID or Google Play account, not from inside Hairmony.

Tip: Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.
Will I be charged after my free trial?

Yes - your subscription converts to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. We'll send a reminder 2 days before the trial converts so you have time to decide.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store and Play Store purchases are handled by Apple and Google directly - not by us.

Your Data & Privacy

Hairmony has no accounts. Almost everything stays on your device.

How do I delete my data?

The fastest path is the "Delete my data" button inside the App - under Settings. Tapping it instantly erases your hair profile, scan history, routine, locally stored photos, and your anonymous analytics ID from your device. If you keep using the App afterwards, you'll be treated as a brand new user.

For data held off-device by our processors (RevenueCat subscription records, PostHog analytics events, Anthropic scan photos within their 30-day window), email hairmonyapp@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request" and we'll forward the request on your behalf. We respond within 30 days as required by the GDPR.

Where is my data stored?

Your hair profile, scan history, routine, and photos live on your device only - we operate no servers that hold them. Photos are sent to Anthropic only while a scan is running, subscription state is managed by RevenueCat, and anonymous usage events are collected by PostHog on its EU Cloud.

Using Hairmony

How scans work, what the scores mean, and why your results are yours.

Why does my scan look different from a friend's?

Hairmony evaluates 9 hair traits unique to each scan. Even people with very similar hair types can end up with quite different profiles, depending on porosity, scalp condition, damage level, and other factors that aren't visible at a glance.

How often should I rescan?

We recommend rescanning every 6–8 weeks to track changes in your routine. Hair changes too slowly to see real differences day-to-day.

Why is a product I love rated low?

A low compatibility score doesn't mean the product is bad - it means it may not be optimised for your specific traits. Trust your own results. Hairmony is a guide, not a verdict.

Why don't you recommend [specific brand]?

We don't have commercial relationships with any brand. Products are scored on ingredient compatibility only.
